Hi, we're Bushra and Cara.
We are hugely passionate about supporting and inspiring women, enabling them to fully embrace and actualise the lives they genuinely desire.

And this is how we came to be in business together, co-founding PROSPERA Coaching. We met whilst training to be ICF accredited coaches and quickly realised we had the same purpose; to support professional women who want long-lasting and impactful change in their life.

Both being professional working mums, we completely understand the struggles and challenges that come with trying to balance a career and family life. Our goal is to help our clients say those big dreams out loud, be true to themselves, reach their full potential and live a life they truly want.

At the heart of our business are the values of empowerment, inspiration, kindness, equality, and happiness, and we strive to live and promote these values in everything we do. Through our unwavering encouragement and motivational support, we help to empower women, fostering a community where we uplift one another.
A little bit about Bushra.
Bushra Shabazz
Co Founder - PROSPERA Coaching
I first hired a coach back in 2020 during the pandemic when I struggled to get going on what felt like my hundredth business idea. It was a difficult time of my life where I had achieved a lot already but was really failing to visualise it. My coach helped me identify my blockers and pinpoint what it was that had previously held me back. From then on, I knew that I wanted to bring the same awakening to other women. I still have a coach now as I am a firm believer of “practice what you preach”.
As a qualified solicitor who values professionalism (I still practise law alongside PROSPERA coaching), I knew that excellent training and accreditation would be important to me and so I embarked on an ICF (International Coaching Federation) training course whilst pregnant with my third daughter and completed my training remotely whilst breastfeeding her in the background.
My family (three daughters, a wonderful and supportive husband and two grumpy cats) mean the world to me and are my motivation for everything I strive for. When I feel my confidence slipping, I remind myself of what I tell my daughters, what keeps them going when it seems like the road is too long or the mountain is too high and what I hope for them.
As a mother to little girls, I want my daughters to know that anything is possible for them but more importantly that they are the only ones that can stand in their way. I truly believe that you can have everything that you want if you believe in yourself. You have to be your own biggest champion.
When I am not coaching or practicing law, you can usually find me on holiday rooted to a sun lounger with a cocktail or a glass of bubbles or at home playing netball. But I’ll always, without fail, be planning my next project!
A little bit about Cara.
Since childhood, I have always had a natural inclination (or gift if you like) for encouraging and uplifting people, and I fully believe in bringing out the best in everyone I meet.

In 2022, I moved into the coaching industry. I felt I had found my place to make a real difference, especially for women. I trained and qualified as an ACC coach, accredited with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the gold standard in coaching.

Coaching is, I would say, the most effective way of empowering people to create long lasting and impactful change. As a professional (previously in commercial finance), I have always held myself to the highest standards. This is exactly what I offer as a coach; high-quality coaching, delivered with empathy and kindness.

As a proud Mum to my magnificent daughter, I am determined to not only teach her that anything is possible for her, but to model it too through the way we live and the life we create around her. Building a successful business around my family is a big part of this.

I live in Coventry with my wonderful husband and daughter. When I’m not working, I love playing netball and long dog walks to clear my head, fuel my soul and energise my body. I also love to simply be with my family outside, playing together and working on our garden veg-patch. When fully relaxing, you will find me curled up on a chair in front of the fire, with a good cup of tea, losing myself in the pages of books.
